Who's it for?

This course is aimed at anyone who works in a registered setting with 0-14 year olds, child minding, playgroups, nurseries and out of school settings.

The Onelife paediatric course arms participants with a comprehensive range of skills to enable them to respond calmly and confidently in the event of a child becoming unwell or injuring themselves.

Course content includes:

  • Resuscitation
  • Burns and scalds
  • Recognition and management of fractures
  • Recognition of infectious diseases and minor illnesses
  • Causes of unconsciousness

How long?

Two days

Qualification:

First aid for child carers certificate valid for three years, matches all sure start criteria.
